Rogério Timóteo has gained international attention for his highly distinctive sculptural style, which focuses on the representation of the human figure. Seamlessly combining human forms with geometric elements, he seeks to explore a range of emotions through physical gestures whilst aiming to touch the sensibility of others. Whilst marble was Timóteo’s primary material of choice at the start of his career, he currently works with iron and bronze, both of which lend his sculptures a contemporary appearance.

Born in Portugal, Timóteo initially studied for five years in the studio of renowned sculptor Master Anjos Teixeira. Since 1993, he has presented over 40 solo exhibitions and 300 group shows globally. He has designed 35 sculptures for public spaces, and his work also sits within private collections in countries around the world, demonstrating the way his emotive sculptures can captivate a range of audiences.
