Abstract figures intertwine in an intimate embrace in this striking painting by Jeremy Ramsey. Using saturated colours reminiscent of the works of Paul Gauguin and David Hockney, Ramsey infuses his characteristically flat forms with movement and sensuality.

Ramsey studied Fine Arts at Reading University and the Hammersmith School of Arts and Crafts in the UK before moving to Singapore in 1956. After becoming a Singaporean citizen, he was elected twice as Honorary President of the Modern Art Society of Singapore and became a board member of the Singapore Tyler Print Institute at its inception.

This lot is physically located in Singapore.

Prospective buyers should note they are responsible for the costs of transporting the lot from its current location to the buyer. This includes the cost of obtaining any required export and/or import licences or permits and paying any applicable taxes. The buyer of the lot is responsible for complying with applicable export and import laws and regulations. Prospective bidders are therefore advised to make independent enquiries.
