Often known as a “colourist", Jeremy Ramsey creates works which celebrate his love of colour. In this painting, he orchestrates a wash of different hues which bleed and seep into one another. By employing delicate watercolours and abstract forms, Ramsey creates a captivating canvas that exudes a remarkable sense of fluidity.

Ramsey studied Fine Arts at Reading University and the Hammersmith School of Arts and Crafts in the UK before moving to Singapore in 1956. After becoming a Singaporean citizen, he was elected twice as Honorary President of the Modern Art Society of Singapore and became a board member of the Singapore Tyler Print Institute at its inception.
