Handle with Care was created with the products of destruction; what looks like a crumbled shopping bag in the artwork is in reality a crushed car hood. Rethinking the notion of responsibility through materiality, Pete Jimenez implores the viewer to exercise caution and mindfulness in their daily lives and relationships.

Jimenez staged his first solo exhibit at the West Gallery in Manila. Since then, he has exhibited in 22 solo art exhibitions in which he examines the qualities of scrap metal as a medium. In his 2011 solo exhibition at the Magnet Gallery titled Body Parts, he used scraps from a disgarded Volkswagen car.

This lot is physically located in the Philippines.
