The iconic "Aqua Table" has been amongst the most sought after pieces of contemporary furniture since its debut in 2005 and is sold internationally as both a limited edition and as a volume production table. Carved from a single block of Carrara marble this unique edition 1/1 "Aqua Table" was created in 2007 for an exhibition that looked at the influence of the art world on works of collectible design. Used by sculptors from Michelangelo to Henry Moore, Carrara marble is a beautiful stone with a high white purity background and classic thunderbolt veins. With its gently undulating, fluid tabletop and fin-like legs the "Aqua Table" sculpted in Carrara marble is an iconic design made monumental. This design is challenging, daring and the work of one of the greatest talents the contemporary design industry has known.

Zaha Hadid was the first woman to be awarded the distinguished Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004 and is internationally known for her built, theoretical and academic work. Her recognisable and remarkable style is characterized by fragmented geometry and bold fluid forms.

Hadid’s outstanding contribution to the architectural profession has been acknowledged by the world’s most respected institutions. In 2010 and 2011, her designs were awarded the Stirling Prize – one of architecture’s highest accolades – by the Royal Institute of British Architects. In 2010, UNESCO also gave Hadid the title of Artist for Peace, while the Republic of France honoured her with the Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. TIME Magazine has included her in their list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World, and in 2012, Zaha Hadid was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II. Her legacy continues through the many projects in construction and in the extraordinary talents of the Zaha Hadid Architects team, which is still based in London, where Hadid lived and studied.
