-Introduced at Watches and Wonders 2024 in celebration of Piaget’s 150th anniversary, the present Polo Date reference G0A49023 draws inspiration from the groundbreaking original Polo conceived by Yves Piaget in 1979. Its horizontally indexed “café latte” dial recalls the distinctive alternating finishes of the historic model, while luminous pink gold hands and markers, a matching frame surrounding the date aperture at 6 o’clock, and the discreet “150” incorporated into the seconds hand counterweight provide thoughtful commemorative details.

-Measuring 42 mm in diameter yet only 9.4 mm thick, its stainless steel case combines polished and satin-finished surfaces with the Polo’s signature cushion-shaped dial opening. Paired with an interchangeable chestnut-brown rubber strap decorated with horizontal grooves, the watch successfully bridges the opulence of the original Polo with the relaxed, sport-chic character of its contemporary successor.

- Initially offered exclusively through Piaget boutiques and produced in a limited edition of only 300 pieces, the present reference is offered in virtually new, unworn condition with the case-back sticker still applied.

Piaget

Swiss | 1874

Creativity, audacity and know-how are the values that gave Piaget its international reputation and allowed the brand to distinguish itself in the world of fine watchmaking and precision. Founder Georges Edouard Piaget established the company in 1874 and manufactured watch movements. While Piaget is famously recognized today for their elaborate wristwatch and bangle designs, they also mastered the marriage of their high-quality, in-house-produced wristwatches and stunning pieces of jewelry.

Collectors consider the 1970s as Piaget's era of superb creativity and unbounded designs. During this highly creative period, the brand designed an impressive range of cuff and bracelet watches carved in gold and adorned with exotic hard stones. Admired by most as not only jewelry but also true works of art, the firm's hard stone dial watches remain the most iconic, recognizable and desirable among collectors.
