    The Patek Philippe reference 5125R-001 was introduced in 2003 as a special production run to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Wempe. It was manufactured in a total of 475 examples, with a limited 125 pieces each in yellow, white and pink gold with opaline silver dial, and 100 pieces in platinum with black dial.

    Wempe is a long-standing and acclaimed German retailer founded in the small German town of Elsfleth in 1878, and it has developed into a globally renowned retailer for the finest watches and jewelry over the decades. The very first collaboration between Patek Philippe and Wempe began with five pocket watches and two jewelry watches for women delivered on 17th June 1927. Launched at the start of the millennium, the present reference further commemorates the 75th anniversary of the exceptional relationship between Patek Philippe and Wempe.

    Numbered 35 out of the limited series of 125 pieces, the present pink gold example is offered in exceptional condition, and it is complete with its full set of accessories, including the original certificate stamped Wempe and dated August 2003.

    Well-known for the Graves Supercomplication — a highly complicated pocket watch that was the world’s most complicated watch for 50 years — this family-owned brand has earned a reputation of excellence around the world. Patek's complicated vintage watches hold the highest number of world records for results achieved at auction compared with any other brand. For collectors, key models include the reference 1518, the world's first serially produced perpetual calendar chronograph, and its successor, the reference 2499. Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
