Catalogue Essay
- Initially released in 1992, the Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 5000 debuted as a limited edition of 5,000 examples of which only 500 were made in white gold.
- Boasting a clean, monochromatic profile exuding sublime simplicity, the dial features a rich black canvas with white Arabic numerals and classic railway track. Featuring a 34mm diameter case and housing the renowned micro-rotor caliber 240 PS movement, the timepiece certainly appears larger on the wrist than its dimensions suggest thanks to the elongated lugs and the expansive, uniform dial.
- Preserved in excellent overall condition, the present early production example is further accompanied by its original Patek Philippe certificate of origin and extract from the archives.
