Conch pearls belongs to a type of precious gemstone that are formed within a living organism called the Queen Conch from the Caribbean Sea. Gem-quality conch pearls rarely come in such an impressive size similar to this very one on offer, and still display an attractive pink colour with visible flame pattern. The fact that it is a creation by the originator of cultured pearls, Mikimoto, confirms the rarity of this natural gemstone.
