Laurent Ferrier
Square Micro-Rotor
A well-preserved stainless steel wristwatch with small seconds, brown copper dial, certificate and presentation box
Full-Cataloguing
- Brown copper-toned dial with beige accents
- Offered by the original owner in very well-preserved condition
- Accompanied with its full set of accessories
Measuring 41 mm and crafted in stainless steel, the present Square Micro-Rotor is distinguished by its beautifully executed brown copper-toned dial, whose warm, autumn-like hue is set off by beige-painted accents. The combination delivers both refined contrast and excellent legibility.
At the heart of the watch lies the finely finished LF229.01 movement, featuring a fan-shaped unidirectional micro-rotor in solid gold. Mounted beneath a broad bridge that recalls the elegant silhouette of a standing crane, the movement is set against a backdrop of meticulous hand decoration. Its double direct-impulse escapement increases efficiency by reducing energy loss and enhancing amplitude stability.
With only a limited number of pieces leaving Ferrier’s workshops each year—most in precious metals—the present example, housed in a rare and sporty stainless steel case, is a particularly notable offering. Preserved in nearly unworn condition by the original owner and accompanied by its full set of accessories, it represents a compelling collector’s piece.
Laurent Ferrier
Swiss | 2008Introducing its first watch to critical acclaim in 2010, Laurent Ferrier was founded by long-time Swiss watchmaker of the same name. Following a 37-year career at Patek Philippe, Ferrier founded the brand in 2008, creating timeless wristwatches inspired by the finest wrist and pocket watches from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Revered by collectors around the world for their genuine innovations and understated elegance, the brand specializes in exquisitely hand-finished movements featuring state-of-the-art watchmaking technology. Galet, or "pebble" in French, describes the signature feature of the brand's cases used across its collection — with soft curves, domed crystals and rounded edges reminding one of a smooth pebble.
Key models include the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral and the Galet Micro-Rotor, with stunning movement architectures designed after prestigious observatory chronometer movements of the twentieth century.
