The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Memovox was initially introduced to the public in 1968 as a professional diver’s wristwatch with an alarm function. The alarm function or known as “Voice of Memory”, was developed to remind diver’s that it was time to return to the surface. The case itself is easily recognizable via its three large crowns with the top crown adjusting the alarm indicated by an inner rotating disc with a small triangle, the middle crown rotates the inner rotating bezel and the bottom crown adjusting the hours and minutes.

The present example was launched in 2018 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Polaris Memovox. The design has been kept very similar to the original piece from 1968, with a dial layout inspired from its forefather. Powering the timepiece is the cal. 956 with a successfully tested “1000 hours control”. Limited to 1000 pieces the series is unnumbered with its caseback inscribed with an engraved diving helmet and its commemoration dates.

The present example is offered in brand new condition and still retains its original factory protective stickers. Furthermore it is accompanied by the full set of accessories making the present modern iteration of the beloved Memovox a valued timepiece to own.
