Provenance:
This pin was given by Comte Robert de Pomereu, future Marquis de Pomereu, son of Armand de Pomereu d’Aligre, Marquis de Pomereu, and Lydie d’Harcourt, to Princesse Yolande de Polignac, Marquise des Roys, daughter of Armand, Duc de Polignac, and Princesse Marie-Hélène de Bauffremont-Courtenay.
It was given on the occasion of the christening of Jean de Ribes, son of Edouard, Comte de Ribes, and Jacqueline Bonnin de la Bonninière de Beaumont, in 1952.
It is understood that Comte Robert de Pomereu was the godfather of Jean de Ribes and that, following the tradition and usage, he gave a gift to the godmother of the child, Comtesse des Roys.
