For the present table the architect and furniture designer Guglielmo Ulrich incorporated an eighteen-century pedestal base with wood and marble tabletop. The fanciful carved and painted base reflect's Ulrich's study of Venetian history during this period, while the tabletop's simplicity of form situates the design within the post-war period.
