Full-Cataloguing
Good to know:
- Highly sought-after “pink on pink” configuration
- From original owner with guarantee and box
- Still under the brand’s warranty period
First conceived in 2001, the Octa movement represented F.P. Journe's inaugural self-winding calibre, a mechanism of remarkable ambition that delivered a power reserve of up to 120 hours, a specification virtually unheard of at the time. In 2002, Journe released its first Octa Réserve de Marche, which duly became the firm's very first self-winding wristwatch. The earliest examples of the model were housed in a 38 mm case and powered by a brass movement, a material emblematic of what collectors now affectionately term the "Brass Era."
From 2004 onward, Journe abandoned brass in favour of fully integrated 18K gold movements, distinguished by a 22K gold rotor specific to the Octa series, a material transition that marked the maturation of the brand and its symbolic crossing from promising upstart to full-fledged manufacture. For transitional examples produced after 2004, the model was powered by the cal. 1300.2, denoting the second generation of the calibre; it is believed that only very few such examples were produced, rendering them of considerable interest to the discerning collector.
The present example, an Octa Réserve de Marche in pink gold with a highly desirable salmon dial (“pink on pink”) from circa 2026, represents the latest iteration of this esteemed lineage, bearing the cal. 1300.3, the third generation of the calibre. The case measures 40mm in diameter, giving the watch a commanding wrist presence.
Offered in excellent overall condition from the original owner and complete with its guarantee and presentation box.

F.P. Journe
Swiss | 1999Founded by watchmaker François-Paul Journe in 1999, the F.P. Journe brand is relatively young, but already is as highly regarded by collectors as many distinguished manufacturers with centuries-old heritage. In the minds of the world's savviest collectors, Journe is producing some of the finest wristwatches the market has ever seen. Mastering his craft from restoring historical timepieces, he was the first to create a wristwatch incorporating two escapements that benefit from the phenomenon of resonance — the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Key models include the Résonance, tourbillon wristwatches incorporating a remontoir and the limited edition Vagabondage series. Especially sought-after are his earliest "souscription" watches, made in 1999.
