Ever Astudillo’s photographs served as preparatory studies for his large pencil drawings. Through his lens, he explored the urban landscape of the Colombian city of Cali, depicting life as carried out within the city’s working-class neighbourhoods. Afer studying at the Escuela Departamental de Artes Plásticas, Cali and at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, he worked as Professor of Drawing and Painting at the Universidad del Cauca, Popayán. Astudillo’s work has been exhibited in numerous institutions, including Museo La Tertulia, Cali and Museo Rayo, Roldanillo.
