- Special Royal Emblem Daniel Roth presentation box numbered 6/50
- Celebrating the 50th anniversary of His Majesty the King of Thailand accession to the throne
- Fresh-to-the-market, fourth to appear and earliest numbered on the auction market
- Offered by the original owner with full set of accessories
The present watch belongs to The Hour Glass era, and it is an unusual one. It was made to mark the Golden Jubilee, the 50th anniversary of His Majesty the King of Thailand’s accession to the throne on 9th June 1996. Cased in 18k white gold, it carries the occasion on the dial with pure elegance. King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) ascended in 1946 and became the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history and held in deep regard by his people. This Daniel Roth bears the Royal Ceremonial Emblem of the Golden Jubilee on a pure white lacquered dial. The emblem is built from three elements: the seven-tiered umbrellas of kingship reserved for royalty; the Royal Privy Seal of Rama IX with the Chakri Dynasty crest of supreme kingship in the center, and two white elephants flanking represents the Thai people above a red Thai numeral 50. Directly below is a small dial marked with Thai numerals as the hours goes by.
The series was limited to fifty pieces. Fresh to the market, this example is numbered 6 and among the earliest numbers yet seen. Preserved in exceptional condition with razor sharp edges, the watch is offered by the original owner as a complete set. It is accompanied by a green folio with a special certificate and a matching numbered double-ellipse box.
