Join collectors Christian and Florence Levett for an exclusive day-long art experience in the beautiful and historic village of Mougins, south of France, for up to 10 guests.
The morning will begin with coffee at Christian and Florence’s Mougins home, and a tour of the art collection housed there, with a focus on impressionist and post-impressionist drawings and French 20th century art.
The group will then move on to the Mougins Museum of Classical Art, founded by Christian in 2011 to place his antiquity and classical art collection on public display. The museum’s large and diverse collection of antiquities includes Roman, Greek and Egyptian sculpture, vases, coins, and jewellery, as well as the world’s largest private collection of ancient arms and armour.Demonstrating how the beauty of the ancient world has influenced neoclassical, modern and contemporary art, these pieces are interspersed with classically inspired paintings, drawings, and sculptures by artists including Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Dufy, Cézanne, Rodin, Dali, Andy Warhol, Marc Quinn, Antony Gormley and Damien Hirst, among others. Christian will personally give a tour of this incredible collection.
Gods and Goddesses Gallery, Mougins Museum of Classical Art Following the tour, Christian and Florence will host the group for lunch at their restaurant, L'Amandier de Mougins, serving traditional Provençal cuisine with stunning panoramic views across the region. L'Amandier is at the centre of Mougins’s rich culinary history, having been owned previously by Roger Verge, one of the greatest chefs of the 20th century, and counting Alain Ducasse among its former chefs.

The winning bidder will receive:- A private visit and tour of Christian and Florence Levett’s Mougins residence

- Lunch at L'Amandier de Mougins, hosted by Christian and Florence Levett.
Terms and conditions: This experience is for the winning bidder and up to nine guests, redeemable for 18 months by arrangement between April 2022 and August 2023. The timing of the visit will be at a mutually convenient time, Covid-dependent, and arrangements will be made through Whitechapel Gallery. Cost of flights, transportation within the region and accommodation is not included.Provenance
