  • Catalogue Essay

In the late 1960’s and 1970's IWC’s flag ship model was the Da Vinci. The current watch, cased in 18k white gold is powered by the IWC in-house caliber 8541B. The Da Vinci was one of the firms rarest and costliest watches manufactured in the 1960’s and 1970’s. The present watch, made for the Sultanate of Oman is finished throughout with a textured case and bracelet which is remarkably heavy. Its black dial contrasts beautifully with the hour markers composed of diamonds. In exceptional condition, this example is one of the most exclusive designs ever created by IWC.
