  • Catalogue Essay

The photographic image was transferred onto 18 separate lithographic limestones. The image (the artist's grandmother) on each of the limestones was processed to allow for pulled impressions. The back of every limestone holds a unique image from the stone's previous use in a ceramics factory. The artist's signature is on the back of the stone in black.
All stones used exist as an edition of multiples printed by Brian Garner at
Litho Shop in Baltimore, MD (January—June 2011).

"Sometimes no matter what you do, no matter what you change, no matter what you give up --you cannot get someone to love you, even your own mother." --what my mother should have said to her own mother but never did.
