Catalogue Essay
• With vintage aesthetics and dimensions, the 37mm white gold Ulysse Nardin 380-88 is a small but mighty single-button chronograph.

• The caliber UN-38, based on the Techniques Horlogères Appliquées (THA)-designed caliber 45MC found in the Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir, was designed by a young François-Paul Journe, alongside Denis Flagolet and Vianney Halter.

• The dial is a crisp white, with elegant contrasting black Breguet numerals referencing the earliest chronograph wristwatches.

• From a prominent collector of independent wristwatches, please see lot 21 for the pink gold variant of this timepiece.
