  • Catalogue Essay

    - A micro-mechanical engineer by profession, Romain Gauthier created his eponymous brand in 2005, focusing on highly decorated architectural movements and a very personal design language.

    - In 2021 he introduced his first "sports" watch, the Continuum, aka the ‘C’, and a year later introduced the model with an integrated bracelet.

    - The movement is superbly finished with a contemporary look; it features a 60h power reserve and a stop seconds mechanism. Unlike most stop seconds, Gauthier uses a snail cam. When the crown is extracted, the cam stops the balance wheel, but when the crown is pushed in, the snail cam turns and gives the balance an impulse to start beating again.

    - The present example with a salmon dial was made only for two short years between 2023-2024 and comes in unworn condition with its full set of accessories.
