Full-Cataloguing
- Limited to 10 pieces
- Red wine motif, Flinqué enamel dial
- Hand-engraved sapphire crystal, a first in a Patek Philippe wristwatch
- Like-new, unworn condition and auction debut
Each year, the manufacture produces a strictly limited selection of one-of-a-kind and short-run timepieces that showcase the supreme skill of its master artisans, spanning techniques from delicate miniature painting to fine hand-engraving.
Rendered in white gold, this limited edition pays homage to the deep, nuanced shades of red wine and the age-old heritage of winemaking. The dial showcases the time-honored technique of flinqué enameling, wherein translucent enamel is applied over a metal base that has been painstakingly hand-guillochéd. Here, a rose engine was used to carve a fluid, wave-like geometric pattern into the dial plate. Coated in translucent red enamel and subjected to an average of eight separate firings at temperatures reaching 775°C, the dial captures light dynamically through its shimmering depth, further highlighted by four brilliant-cut diamond indexes set at the quarter hours.
In an extraordinary artistic debut for Patek Philippe, a delicate motif of cascading vine leaves is hand-engraved directly onto the inner surface of the sapphire crystal. Inspired by antique wine carafes, the foliage is rendered with meticulous detail, capturing the faint veins of each leaf. Framing this artistic canvas is the manufacture's iconic Clous de Paris hobnail pattern along the bezel. Produced in an exclusive edition of just 10 pieces, this timepiece is preserved in unworn condition, offering collectors a rare opportunity to acquire a pinnacle of modern artisan craftsmanship.
