Debuted in 1997 as part of Patek Philippe's Travel Time lineage, the reference 5034 Travel Time continued the manufacture’s dual-time tradition originally established by the legendary reference 2597. Instantly recognizable by its beaded bezel, the reference 5034 features an intuitive twin push-piece system integrated into the left side of the case, allowing the local hour hand to be independently adjusted forward or backward in one-hour increments.
The present timepiece is an exceptionally rare white gold execution paired with an integrated, flexible 18K white gold bracelet, a configuration of which only a handful of examples have appeared at auction. The clean white dial is appointed with applied white gold Breguet numerals, leaf-shaped hands and a 24-hour subdial at 12 o'clock indicating home time to ensure clear day/night distinction while traveling.
In production for just six years until 2003, the reference 5034 remains a pivotal model in shaping Patek Philippe's modern dual-time family. Consigned in overall excellent condition by its original owner, who originally ordered the piece as part of a matching pair alongside a lady's reference 4864/2G (See next lot). This timepiece is accompanied by its original Certificate of Origin and presentation box, offering collectors an extraordinarily rare bracelet configuration of a classic Travel Time reference.
