Catalogue Essay
- In 2006, in commemoration of their recent renovated Salon, Patek Philippe introduced the limited edition references 5565 and 5105. These exclusive models were solely available through the salon, serving as a tribute to the brand's rich heritage. The inspiration for the reference 5565 was drawn from the iconic reference 565, a renowned and today highly collectable timepiece launched in 1938.

- The dial is adorned with applied black Arabic and baton numerals, accompanied by luminous dots and hands. The overall aesthetic of the dial mirrors earlier designs with silvered two-tone finish featuring a vertically satin-finished center.

- Most notably cased in stainless steel, the case back bears an engraving that reads "Patek Philippe Geneve 1839-1982-2006," signifying three pivotal historical dates: the founding of Patek, Czapek & Cie at Quai des Bergues 29 in 1839; Patek Philippe's relocation to Rue du Rhône in 1853; and the celebration of the building's renovation in 1892 under the direction of architect Jacques-Elisée Goss. The final date marks the 2006 celebration.

- Preserved in excellent overall condition and accompanied by its set of original accessories, the present timepiece is a true modern classic for the connoisseur of fine and rare timepieces.
