Catalogue Essay
The No. 7.5 is instantly recognizable by its unorthodox case shape characterized by a minimalistic industrial feel. Inspired by the 8mm film camera from the 1930’s, the asymmetrical layout of the apertures for the jumping hour, minute, and running second is enriched by the delightful interplay of straight graining and sandblasting on the steel case surface. Through the transparent case back, one can closely observe the impeccable craftsmanship of the automatic movement, composed of the Miyota calibre 82S5 and the in-house jumping hour module.

The new No. 7.5 was released in 2023 with new specifications and improvements to the in-house jumping hour module. The steel case was changed from SUS303 to to SUS316L, sapphire crystal glass was adopted for the apertures instead of mineral glass, and the fisheye lens for the hour has been upgraded to a custom-made sapphire lens, further enhancing the durability of the timepiece. The pin buckle of the watch also now comes with an engraved brand logo, complementing the newly designed leather strap.

The annual production at Otsuka Lotec remains very limited at the moment, with orders made for the Japanese market available only through raffles on their official website.
