In 2018, Shapiro launched his own watch brand that specializes in watches that are decorated using different guilloché techniques.
Shapiro released the time-only Infinity Series, which features his newly invented guilloché pattern the “Infinity Weave”. An emphasis on the simple and pure aesthetics in his watches, the pattern brings a new addition to the century-old technique, and challenges Shapiro as a talented craftsman. As the name implies, it is based on the Vieux Panier basketweave pattern, where it evolves into a more complex motif of intricated basketweave, or it can be described as “basketweave within basketweave”, regarded by many that it is one of the most skilled-required guilloché patterns. Cased in 39mm, the present Infinity is bespoked with a blue anodized titanium dial guilloché dial, consisting of the Infinity Basketweave, barleycorn and central waves pattern, paired with sculpted white gold hands, which fully demonstrates Shapiro’s mastery in the art. The hour markers on the dial are in Roman numerals instead of Arabic numerals, which makes it a rare combination in Shapiro’s work.
Apart from the mesmerizing guilloché dial, the watch has a see-through caseback showcasing the Uhren-Werke Dresden sourced cal. UWD 33.1 movement numbered S.13.
