    - Along with the Cartier Tank, the rectangular case of the Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso stands out as one of the most distinctive silhouettes in the realm of horology. Merging functionality with a sophisticated and iconic design, the Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso has stood as the brand's flagship model since its debut in the early 1930s.

    - The present Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo in stainless steel showcases a dual time function, complemented by small seconds on one side and a 24-hour register on the other. Elegant and simple, the silver white dial is adorned with a guilloché center, sober Arabic numerals and is accompanied by a small seconds subdial positioned at 6 o'clock, making it perfect for day usage. The reverse side, on the other hand, features a black "Clous de Paris" guilloché dial, adding an evening wear flair that exudes sophistication. The hands mirror the sword shape from the front dial but are equipped with SuperLuminova for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions. Additionally, a day-night indicator is made available as well.

    - The present Reverso Duoface is a watch that ingeniously incorporates two timepieces within a single design elegantly granting its wearer the versatility to alternate between two distinct watch faces, allowing them to complement their outfit or mirror their mood for the day.

    - Please note that the proceeds of the present timepiece will be donated by the consignor to various charities.

  • Artist Biography

    Jaeger-LeCoultre

    Swiss • 1833

Not all companies in the watchmaking field have been able to stand the test of time quite like Jaeger LeCoultre, also known as the "watchmaker's watchmaker." Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre and originally named LeCoutre, the firm provided watchmaking's top brands, such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, the high-grade, unfinished mechanical movements with which they completed their watches.

In the early 1900s, Cartier's watch supplier Edmond Jaeger sought out LeCoultre's help in creating the world's thinnest watches. The collaboration resulted in the creation of Cartier's earliest Tank and Santos watches, all housed with LeCoultre movements. The duo decided to merge in 1937, and the firm officially became the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand by which collectors know and adore it today. Some of the firm's most significant and important timepieces include the Reverso, the Memovox, the Atmos clock and, among modern watches, their Master Complications.
