Good to know:
- Unworn condition with full accessories
- First self-winding watch of the brand and fully in-house movement
- Discontinued model with gorgeous turquoise blue coloured dial
- Named after the year of birth of the father of Bart and Tim Grönefeld, first released in 2018, the 1941 Principia is Grönefeld’s first time-only wristwatch, featuring in-house automatic movement assembled by hand. Taken from Sir Issac Newton’s Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, also known as Principia, the book about classical mechanics has become the inspiring name for the brothers’ first watch with self-winding mechanism.
- The 1941 Principia Automatic is a highly customizable collection. Amongst all dial variations, the present watch is fitted with a matte turquoise blue coloured silvered dial, paired with blued extended Lancette hour and minute hands. The concave recesses and convex surfaces are the iconic features of the Grönefeld 1941 case, giving a smooth and robust look to the watch.
- The in-house movement cal. G-06 is fitted with a uni-directional winding mechanism weighted by a 22k gold monobloc rotor, the 226-part movement is made of stainless steel bridges replicating bell gables, often seen on the rooftops of Dutch church buildings, referencing the origin of the brand. Rotating on ceramic ball bearings, the rotor’s design prevents wear and eliminates the need for lubrication.
- The green-blue python strap matches well with the turquoise blue dial, giving the watch a strong presence with eye catching colours. Offered in pristine unworn condition and the original accessories, this watch is the ideal choice for a straightforward time-only watch with class.
