- German luxury good manufacturer Goldpfeil collaborated with seven independent watchmakers from the Académie Horlogère des Créteurs Indépendants (AHCI), releasing the limited edition set Seven Masters in 2001. As suggested in the name Seven Masters, each set consists of seven individual watches each presented by respective watchmakers. The present watch is the creation of Frank Jutzi, who is one of the founding members of the AHCI.
- Previously sold as a complete set with the box at Phillips back in 2020, this is the first time the Frank Jutzi Seven Masters has been sold as an individual piece.
- The watch incorporates a traditional aesthetic, a silvered guilloché dial with Roman numerals, with bold, strong rectangular lugs. The hours and minutes are indicated separately, where the hours indication is on the subsidiary dial while the minutes hand is displayed on the main dial. The hours and minutes hand in the form of an arrow is inspired by the Goldpfeil logo, a subtle tribute to this collaboration. The small seconds subsidiary dial at the six o’clock position and moon phase on the top left side show the approach of Jutzi towards horology, without overcrowding the layout, keeping a simple and elegant look of the timepiece.
- Fresh-to-the-market and offered in excellent condition, the present example still has the Zappon intact on the caseback.
