Good to know:
- Collaboration between Goldpfeil and independent watchmakers from the AHCI
- Made by Vianney Halter, part of the Seven Masters project
- Inspired by vintage rangefinder cameras

- In 2001, luxury German luxury good manufacturer Goldpfeil collaborated with seven independent watchmakers from the Académie Horlogère des Créteurs Indépendants (AHCI), releasing the limited edition set Seven Masters. Formed in 1985, AHCI enables members of the association to display their works of art in trade shows. This present watch is the creation of renowned watchmaker Vianney Halter.

- Inspired by vintage rangefinder cameras, the watch has two rectangular-shaped windows to show the time. The front of the white gold case is covered with hundreds of hand-hammered micro dimples, intended to mirror the appearance of a leather protector on antique cameras. The complex crown is fashioned according to a camera’s winding knob, while the unique white gold buckle for the strap takes its cues from the loading mechanism for film rolls. The dial features a arrow-shaped minute hand, which is the icon of Goldpfeil, corresponding to the project initiated by the manufacturer.

- The watch operates on the self-winding cal. GUB 60 movement, which is a in-house movement developed by Halter. The moon phase indicator is well-acknowledged to be very accurate, only deviating by a day in 139 years, compared to the 122 years of the typical moon phase in a high-end wristwatch.

- According to the Halter, this series of Goldpfeil GPVH watches is a limited edition of 108 pieces, along with an additional unique gem-set variant that was created to raise funds for charity. Offered in such well-preserved condition, this unusual looking watch surely is a rare find in the independent watches category.
