Good to know:
- Disco Volante case with minimalistic jumping hours display
- Modified movement developed by F.P. Journe
- Excellent condition with its original accessories
The Chaumet Les Pléiades has stood as Chaumet’s neo-vintage icon since its release in 1992, featuring a Disco Volante case that speaks simplicity and elegance. The Les Pléiades was brought to fame by its unique architecture, and the surprising collaboration between the jewellery brand and F.P. Journe, way before Journe’s name surfaced in the public eye.
F.P. Journe was commissioned by Chaumet to develop a movement for the reference 10A. He developed the jump hour module on top of the base ETA cal. 2892-2, giving the innovative and minimalistic display. It also features an engine-turned finish, golden-coloured Chaumet-signed rotor. The 35mm case is quite the optimal size for a watch with a clean display, and the thin profile makes it a favourable fit on the wrist.
This timepiece is a merge of subtle, minimalistic elegance and innovative, experimental watchmaking. Preserved in excellent condition with its original accessories, it is a rare item not to be missed by watch collectors that fancy a nice dresswatch with a twist in mechanism and design.
