Good to know:
- Limited edition in blue dial, only 55 pieces available
- Fully in-house wristwatch, with the Calibre 1 movement developed with the help of independent watchmaker Romain Gauthier
- Outsized jumping hour display and retrograde minutes

- When it comes to Chanel, the first thing that pops in people’s mind would likely be the Parisian fashion house and the timeless elegant clothing and accessories, it is less common for the public to perceive the house as a watchmaking brand. Yet the Monsieur de Chanel would deem the leading fashion brand a new contestant in the watchmaking industry that watch enthusiasts should not overlook.

- Unlike many fashion houses that release watches using outsourced movements and parts, the Monsieur de Chanel was first released in 2016 and was a fully in-house wristwatch, surprising both the fashion and watchmaking industries.

- The Monsieur de Chanel is the first step of Chanel marching into the watchmaking world. Equipped with jumping hours, small seconds and retrograde minutes, this quintessentially elegant and versatile design is made specifically for men with a limited edition of 55 pieces only.

- Developed in-house at Chanel Horlogerie, a small team of eight was responsible for the construction of Chanel’s first movement within the confines of the G&F Chatelain complex in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Since 2011, Chanel has acquired a stake at independent watchmaker Romain Gauthier's manufacturer and worked closely with him. With the help of Romain Gauthier, in developing and finishing some parts of the movement, the Caliber 1 is as exceptionally finished as its dial and case.
