The case is crafted in 18K white gold and measuring 43mm, this breathtaking showstopper is extravagantly set with 186 baguette-cut diamonds (approximately 11.77 carats) across the bezel, fluted caseband, lugs, wave-shaped chronograph pushers, and crown guards. The signature Breguet coin-edge fluting becomes a river of baguettes, while the pushers flow like elegant waves beside the crown, every angle revealing masterful craftsmanship.
The silvered stepped dial is enchanted with 132 brilliant round diamonds (0.35 carat), complemented by blue accents and two hypnotic guilloché registers. With the titanium tourbillon proudly displayed at 12 o’clock, the entire timepiece radiates a whooping 376 diamonds totalling around 11.85 carats of pure brilliance. The intricate works of the calibre 554 can be admired on the reverse derived from a Lemania movement lineage.
Extremely rare, with only a two examples known to grace the auction market, this complete example with full set and certificates is a magnificent fusion of Breguet’s technical brilliance, seafaring heritage, and jewellery artistry.
Breguet
Swiss | 1775Established in 1775 by Abraham Louis Breguet, widely considered the greatest watchmaker of all time, the storied brand continues to thrive in the modern era, creating exceptional high-end watches as the Swatch Group's premier prestige brand. Some of the most important and lasting inventions in watchmaking are attributed to Abraham Louis Breguet, including the tourbillon, shock resistance and the use of hammers and gongs employed in nearly all minute repeating watches made since.
Eighteenth and nineteenth century Breguet pocketwatches are especially sought-after by collectors, and many of them were made for the elite of European society, including Napoléon and Marie Antoinette. Key wristwatches from the twentieth century include oversized dress watches, two-register chronographs, triple calendars and Type XX aviator's chronographs made for the French military and civilians.
