Good to know:
- Reference with a short production run
- Offered in excellent condition by its original owner
- Comes with its original accessories

- As Audemars Piguet continued testing new case sizes for the Royal Oak, it presented ref. 14700 with a 36mm case in 1990. The watch was in production for only a few years until it was discontinued in 1998.

- Adding to this highly collectible reference, the present watch is offered in well-preserved condition of both case and dial: the edges are still sharp, the bevels defined, the engraving on the caseback crisp, and the dial in excellent overall condition.

- Interestingly, the watch is from the original owner who is a doctor and needed a watch that could track the seconds, hence opting for a model with center seconds. The icing on the cake comes from the presence of its original warranty and box, along with its purchase invoice from 1993 and service invoice, making this full set example a treasure trove for the discerning collector.

- Offered by the original owner, this watch was a personal milestone piece. A doctor, as a gift to himself with demanding precision in his daily work, he deliberately chose a versatile, robustly waterproof model with a prominent centre-seconds hand, ideal for tracking elapsed time at a glance.

Audemars Piguet

Swiss | 1881

A specialist in the manufacture of complications since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. This Le Brassus-based Swiss manufacturer is one of only two major manufacturers still owned by the founding family. Since its earliest days, AP is considered a leader in the field of minute repeaters and grande complication pocket and wristwatches. The brand is devoted to preserving the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux, showcased at their superb museum in Le Brassus.

Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972. Other key models include early minute repeating wristwatches, vintage chronograph wristwatches, such as the oversized reference 5020, perpetual calendar watches and the Royal Oak Offshore, first introduced in 1993.
