The present Royal Oak ref. 14812 is among the most elusive references ever produced by Audemars Piguet, an ultra-rare creation from the 1990s distinguished by the employment of hardstone dials. While gem-set Royal Oaks are exquisitely uncommon, Royal Oaks fitted with hardstone dials are rarer still. The present watch, encased in white gold and fitted with an intriguing jasper dial (confirmed by its Extract from the Register) and Arabic numerals, may therefore be considered an absolute rarity. It is the only one known to the market in this configuration.
The luxurious yet understated white gold case emphasizes the watch's exclusivity. Yet it is the jasper hardstone dial, with its wonderful natural markings and white gold Arabic numerals, that bestows a distinctive and immediately eye-catching aesthetic quite unlike any other Royal Oak dials. An extremely rare and exotic hardstone dial, it can be found only on a handful of watches manufactured in the early 1990s.
To the best of our knowledge, this ref. 14812BC with jasper dial is the only one known to the market. The dial is confirmed by the Audemars Piguet Extract from the Register, as is the production date of 1993. It is certainly a striking and beautiful stone dial that is exceptionally well-preserved with no cracks observed. The present watch can be considered one of the most exclusive and elusive neo-vintage Royal Oaks known, a true prize for the discerning collector.
Offered in excellent overall condition with its Extract from the Register, this exceptionally rare and collectible Royal Oak ref. 14812BC represents a watch of extraordinary rarity and beauty.
