Catalogue Essay
This special edition features the reintroduction of the iconic "Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50" dial color, inspired by the original 1972 Royal Oak. Rendered in the signature Grande Tapisserie pattern, the deep blue dial provides a striking contrast against the 18k pink gold case, creating a harmonious blend of elegance and sportiness. The dial is further enhanced by larger hour markers and hands, ensuring optimal legibility while maintaining the Royal Oak’s distinctive aesthetic.
A defining feature of this anniversary model is the exclusive 50th anniversary rotor, crafted in gold and visible through the sapphire caseback for the 2022 models. Powered by the self-winding Caliber 4401, the watch boasts a flyback chronograph function, a date display, and a power reserve of 70 hours, all housed within the 41mm pink gold case.
The present example, offered in like-new overall condition, is one of these rare 50th Anniversary models fitted with the commemorative rotor. Complete with its full set of accessories, including the original box, papers, and warranty card.
