Catalogue Essay
Launched in 2020, Audemars Piguet strikes with a new line of black ceramic Royal Oak Offshores with a bold statement of color. This collection has three variations: blue, green and like the present example in 18K pink gold, each with a strong character and distinct color scheme throughout. Formulated with a perfect balance of robustness and freshness in mind, the Royal Oak Offshore in 44mm diameter boost an extremely sophisticated masculine appeal. The present pink gold variant is born with a smoked grey mega tapisserie dial with a clash of Audemars Piguet’s signature oversized Arabic numerals.

The new model is outfitted with a new chronograph caliber 3126/3840 that offers a vigorous power reserve of 50 hours of action at a rate of 21,600 vph. Living at large, the present Royal Oak Offshore is set for action this summer. Offered in like new condition from its original owner, the present example is also accompanied with its warranty and presentation box.

Audemars Piguet

Swiss | 1881
A specialist in the manufacture of complications since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. This Le Brassus-based Swiss manufacturer is one of only two major manufacturers still owned by the founding family. Since its earliest days, AP is considered a leader in the field of minute repeaters and grande complication pocket and wristwatches. The brand is devoted to preserving the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux, showcased at their superb museum in Le Brassus.
Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972. Other key models include early minute repeating wristwatches, vintage chronograph wristwatches, such as the oversized reference 5020, perpetual calendar watches and the Royal Oak Offshore, first introduced in 1993.
