Catalogue Essay
Audemars Piguet launched their initial concept piece in 2002 to celebrate their 30th anniversary. With an aim to develop innovative case materials and performance, several concept watches were made since their initial breakthrough.
The Royal Oak Carbon Concept CCW1 displays all the ingenuity and relentlessness in their willingness to succeed and produce a technologically advanced timepiece. From the forged carbon case, first introduced by former CEO Mr. Georges-Henri Meylan to decrease the weight and increase the toughness of the case to the upgraded 30-minute chronograph with linear minute counter, this watch was a statement to the industry of the capabilities of Audemars Piguet.
Adding on to the highly attractive piece, the present example is further presented with the full set of accessories that came with the watch when it was purchased by the original owner.
