Catalogue Essay
-The Pikto-Smileday Le Perpetual was made in a limited edition of 100 pieces made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Alain Silberstein in 1997.
-The movement was developed by Svend Andersen and was based on his clever Chronometre Perpetual that has a minimalist display on the front showing just the date, with the months and leap year on the back. This model is even more minimalist with only a single hand to indicate hours and minutes.
-The dial displays the text "Le vrai bonheur est d'avoir sa passion pour metier", meaning "True happiness is having your passion for your profession" - no truer words could be said by none other than the master himself, Alain Silberstein.
