    Le Roy et Fils was a well-renowned French watchmaker founded in 1785 by Basil Charles Le Roy. The company survived the French revolution and became the clockmaker to Napoleon I. Le Roy et Fils opened a shop in 1885 at 57 New Bond Street London, and was a British Royal Warrant holder under Queen Victoria. It was the only foreign clockmaker to hold a British royal warrant. Examples of the company's work are included in all of the major world collections of clocks.
