This work is one of only two known oversized exhibition prints of this iconic image, both made by Fukase for the 1985–88 traveling exhibition Black Sun: The Eyes of Four, and was the one retained by the artist. The other, exhibited in the show, is in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The largest print size Fukase made from his landmark Ravens series (1976–86), this marks the first appearance at auction of an oversized exhibition print.
