Catalogue Essay
This photograph was acquired originally from pioneering photography gallerist Lee Witkin. Witkin's gallery was one of the first in the city to handle photography, and Imogen Cunningham was one of his key artists. When this print was purchased, it was accompanied by an original label saying that it had been printed in 1961.

“The formula for doing a good job in photography is to think like a poet.” – Imogen Cunningham
