Catalogue Essay
- Since the 1940s, Vacheron Constantin has been renowned for crafting exquisite and captivating triple calendar timepieces. Even in their modern collection, this complication continues to be featured in their catalog, underscoring its enduring value and significance in Vacheron Constantin's watchmaking heritage.

- A triple calendar provides indications for the date, day, and month, requiring adjustment for five times a year (at the end of months with 30 days and in February). However, the current iteration boasts a stunning openworked dial that seamlessly blends historical aesthetics with modern design elements. The elegantly faceted dauphine hands evoke a classical touch from the Traditionnelle family, while darkened movement beneath exude a contemporary flair.

- Upon closer examination, the top half of the dial spanning from 9 to 3 o'clock is adorned with a intriguing ribbed guilloché pattern. Delicately integrated into the slate grey plate are two rounded compartments housing transparent sapphire discs, displaying the month and day indications against a crisp white backdrop. The moon phase complication on the other hand features two realistic depictions of the Moon, subtly veiled by a translucent sapphire disc.

- With an anthracite finish on the plate and bridges of the movement, it is the final piece of the puzzle to form a truly remarkable masterpiece that is both strikingly handsome and highly practical. Presented in virtually brand new condition, this timepiece not only holds considerable collectible value but also pays homage to Vacheron Constantin's rich history in watchmaking.

Vacheron Constantin

Swiss | 1755
The world's oldest watch brand in continuous operation since its founding in 1755, Vacheron Constantin was the first watch company to manufacture movements with interchangeable parts beginning in 1839. Vacheron's watches are admired for their Latin-influenced case designs, well-balanced proportions and exquisitely finished movements of the highest quality. The Geneva-based manufacturer is known for their highly complicated masterpieces, including the King Farouk Grand Complication made in 1935, the Tour de l'Ile that was the most complicated serially produced wristwatch when introduced in 2005 and the 57260 — the world’s most complicated watch — made in 2015.

Key vintage models include minute repeating wristwatches such as the references 4261, chronographs such as the references 4178 and 6087 and the oversized Cioccolotone models such as ref. 4737. Collectors also appreciate Vacheron's Chronometer Royal pocket and wristwatches, as well as the '222,' the brand's first luxury sports watch produced from 1977 through 1984.
