First released in the 1940s, the Tri-Compax was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Universal Geneve. Powering the watch is the highly reliable caliber 281, which bares three complications, a full calendar, chronograph and moon phases, hence the name "Tri-Compax". Throughout its production life, there has been many different variants of the model produced. In the recent years, Universal Geneve has gained much appreciated interest from collectors and lovers of vintage watches from around the world.

The present example is a yellow gold Tri-Compax reference 181102 . Fitted with a two tone dial, the watch is highly attractive and bares a rarer dial configuration than other examples.
