  • Catalogue Essay

-Most notably cased in Carbonium, the present watch is numbered 30 of a 30 piece limited edition of the Freak X, made for The Hour Glass in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the luxury watch retail group.

    - The Freak X, launched at SIHH in 2019, displays a 43mm diameter case that is 2mm smaller than the Freak Vision and Freak Out, meaning that it is very wearable. The watch is fitted with a flying carrousel movement rotating around its own axis with no dial and no hands. The present limited edition series is cased in Carbonium, a light material that is used in the bodies and wings of aircraft. When the material consisting of 7μm diameter carbon fibers is cut, an organic pattern is created by the layers which can be seen throughout the case, showing gold flecks throughout.

-Preserved in barely worn condition, it is accompanied by the Ulysse Nardin International Warranty and UN Certification, Certificate of Limited Edition, product literature, presentation box and outer packaging.
