Catalogue Essay
- Crafted in the most refined ateliers of Le Locle, this objét d'art embodies Ulysse Nardin’s mastery of ornate enamel and mechanical fineness. Paying tribute to the untamed spirit in their Classico Horse, the present limited edition timepiece was unveiled in 2014 for the Chinese Year of the Horse. For over three decades, the maison has mastered enamel's rare beauty, acquiring long-time collaborator Donzé Cadrans in 2011 to devote wholly to this centuries-old craft.

- Using the champlevé technique, cells are chiseled directly onto the dial's surface before filling with enamel, transforming metal into works of art. Two stallions gallop gracefully across a rugged landscape of verdant valleys and sapphire skies, contrasting black and white in harmony.

- Encased in the warm embrace of pink gold, the cal. UN-815 self-winding movement fuels the Classico Horse’s 42-hour journey. Numbered 00 of only 88 examples made, this first edition exemplifies the majestic animal's passion and freedom, captured gracefully by Ulysse Nardin's artisans. Preserved in exceptional condition, the exquisite timepiece is further accompanied by its original accessories.
