- Since its conception in 1945, the Datejust has been a strong staple in the Rolex collection as the world’s first ever water-resistant self-winding wristwatch with date indication. Today, the model continues to thrive as one of the most recognisable models from the Swiss manufacturer.
- The ref. 16234 was introduced in 1988, fitted with an upgraded cal. 3135, in place of its proceeding cal. 3055, along with being the first of its kind to feature a robust sapphire crystal replacing the former Plexiglass.
- Truly one of a kind, hardstone dials are highly coveted among collectors since no dial can be identical and each piece requires only the most skilled artisans to perfect. Swiss | 1905Founded in 1905 England by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis as Wilsdorf & Davis, it soon became known as the Rolex Watch Company in 1915, moving its headquarters to Geneva in 1919.
