  • Catalogue Essay

Roger Dubuis, a long-time Patek Philippe watchmaker, established his own brand in 1995 with the concept to use traditional watchmaking and create contemporary timepieces with an avant garde design. The brand focused on high-tech materials and complicated movements, making limited edition examples of 8, 28, and 88 pieces. One of their most prominent lines, the Excalibur featured oversized cases and wristwatches from time only to models with chronographs and tourbillons. The present limited edition ChronoExcel is numbered 1 of 28 examples and features a split-seconds chronograph with tachymeter. In excellent overall condition, the watch is accompanied by its original box and papers.
