Catalogue Essay
Since the introduction of the young independent brand in 1999, by Richard Mille himself, they have enjoyed a rapid rise in the ranks of the world of horology. Combining integral components of horology, artistry, technological innovativeness and fine watchmaking, Richard Mille has developed its iconic identity. With its extensive research and development on case materials inspired from various facets of engineering, motorsports and aeronautics. It was designed to be robust on the wrist during action, either on the tennis court on the wrists of Rafael Nadal to speeding through tracks in the cockpit on the wrists of Felipe Masa.

The RM11-03 was first introduced in 2007, and was a successful launch for the brand and enabled the brand to gain its momentum into being one of the most recognizable watch brands today. The present example is further delivered with two extra straps enabling the new owner to have the privileged option to swap from one to another at their convenience.

Richard Mille

Swiss | 1999
Established in 1999, Richard Mille's ultra-modern timepieces combine cutting-edge materials from high performance worlds such as Formula 1 racecars with high-end traditional watchmaking. The brand's revolutionary designs, technical breakthroughs and exceptional hand-finishing excite even the most discriminating collectors, and have positioned Richard Mille alongside the top makers of the modern luxury watch world.

Innovative watches, such as the RM 027 Tourbillon, which was the world’s lightest mechanical watch when introduced in 2011, have helped the brand invert the concept of the luxury watch. Key models include the RM 009 Tourbillon cased in Aluminum Silicon Carbide (AlSiC), the RM 027-02 Tourbillon made for tennis star Rafael Nadal with a case made from quartz and carbon fiber and the RM 008 split seconds chronograph.
