Catalogue Essay
An extraordinary wristwatch for an extraordinary man, the Richard Mille Roberto Mancini is a complex work of art paying tribute to one of the legends of the game. A player for the Italian National and later team manager, Roberto Mancini embodies the characteristics of the Mille brand and is therefore the perfect ambassador for their timepieces. Like the footballer, the RM11-01 is creative and sophisticated, a fly–back chronograph wristwatch, it is designed specifically for football matches and in particular to team coaches with a timer indicating the two 45-minute halves, the extra play stage when needed and stoppage time.

During extra play, the actual time is not displayed and this ingenious technical design allows players and coaches to accurately follow the time during this critical period of play. Additionally, semi-instantaneous day and month are recorded at the 12 o'clock and 4 o'clock apertures respectively. The present watch, accompanied by its warranty, is by all means a grail to collect.

Richard Mille

Swiss | 1999
Established in 1999, Richard Mille's ultra-modern timepieces combine cutting-edge materials from high performance worlds such as Formula 1 racecars with high-end traditional watchmaking. The brand's revolutionary designs, technical breakthroughs and exceptional hand-finishing excite even the most discriminating collectors, and have positioned Richard Mille alongside the top makers of the modern luxury watch world.

Innovative watches, such as the RM 027 Tourbillon, which was the world’s lightest mechanical watch when introduced in 2011, have helped the brand invert the concept of the luxury watch. Key models include the RM 009 Tourbillon cased in Aluminum Silicon Carbide (AlSiC), the RM 027-02 Tourbillon made for tennis star Rafael Nadal with a case made from quartz and carbon fiber and the RM 008 split seconds chronograph.
